OUT-OF-THE-BOX SOLUTIONS: CRANE BARGE AT CRISTOBAL

With two multipurpose barges strategically stationed on site, CB&C is equipped to deploy rapidly for a wide range of marine operations.
At the Atlantic gateway of the Panama Canal, in the Cristobal inner anchorage, Canal Barges & Cranes (CB&C) continues to demonstrate its hallmark flexibility and readi ness.
With two multipurpose barges strategically stationed on site, CB&C is equipped to deploy rapidly for a wide range of marine operations.
These barges are specially designed with the ideal deck strength and width to accommodate a variety of shore cranes-ranging from 20 to 120 tons-making them t he perfect floating platforms for lífting operations where traditional infrastructure is unavailable.
In a recent operation, a client required the urgent transfer of equipment to a vessel at anchor that lacked its own crane. CB&C responded with a tailored solution: mobilizing the barge Ruperto Rodríguez and positioning a 38-ton crane on its deck.
The operation was executed safely, efficiently, and right on schedule, showcasing once again our commitment to solving logistical challenges with creativity and precision. At CB&C, we don’t just move equipment, we move solutions.
