That’s why, every two and a half years, we carry out scheduled dry dock maintenance on all our barges- including the Ruperto Rodriguez-to ensure they remain in optimal condition.

The hull is then hydro blasted to a SA2 standard to remove surface contaminants and prepare it for a fresh coating system based on the paint manufacturer’s specifications. In addition, we renew the cathod ic protection system to ensure long-term corrosion resistance.
